Österbotten

17th. Travelled from Torneå to Kalix by sea. The wind was against us.

We found an abundance of blaeberries, cowberries and stone brambles on the small islands.

On KORSHOLMEN there was ‘Behen’ [Sea Campion] growing; can it he the same as the sort that grows in arable fields – there is a similarity in some of its features? It was growing among the pebbles on the shore and had an elongated calyx, narrow leaves, one capsule as fruit, upright stalk.
